Human relationships in general are uncharted waters and I’ve had my share of experiences and bad behavior but the worst things I’ve done have usually been the result of dishonesty….lying to myself about what I want and what I deserve…and lying to others about what I want and what I’m *really* thinking at a given moment.
Here’s another mantra to add to my growing list: Honesty has a funny way of making huge transformations in life. If you can face someone and tell them your honest emotions, you’ll strengthen the connection you have with another human–and you’ll get a taste of your impressive bravery. This rush of adrenaline is addictive and inspiring. Let go of the false security of white lies and vague comments. Embrace the direct approach: It will give you all the power you need to get what you want out of life.
Damn straight.
